I first explored Dadonghai Beach and the nearby downtown area, which were centered around my accommodation. The beach was easy to access and had great scenery, so it was great for taking a walk or lightly swimming. There were many restaurants and shops near the beach, so it was convenient for eating and shopping. From the Luhuitou Observatory, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Sanya City, Phoenix Island, and the uniquely-looking hotel at a glance, which is memorable. Sanya Bay Beach was impressive for its wide, open scenery, and it was a little quieter, so I was able to spend more time leisurely. On the outskirts of the city, I visited Nanshan Temple and Tianyahaijiao, which are famous places representing the grandeur of Buddhist culture and the beauty of the Sanya coast, respectively. I wanted to take my time and avoided a tight schedule, so I was able to enjoy the ocean, nature, and cultural heritage leisurely. It was a good trip to feel the charm of Sanya by staying in one or two places slowly rather than planning a tight schedule.
