This is Capella Sanya's most special way to greet each new day, with the tai chi master in the center of the pool, beginning the morning light with movements that balance strength and gentleness. As the tai chi progresses, the grand lobby's water curtain begins to flow and circulate, creating both a visually pleasing and meaningful experience. 1. The lobby scene is truly captivating, embodying feng shui philosophy. The central water system rises to the "celestial dome" before cascading down as a "water curtain," creating a harmonious environment that symbolizes infinite vitality and promising prospects, while also representing prosperity and wealth. The round top of the Stargazing Pool reflects the square pool below, symbolizing the Chinese concept of "round sky, square earth." The "square" represents the earth's all-embracing nature, symbolizing "harvest," "abundance," and "nourishment," while the "round" represents traditional Chinese culture, symbolizing "perfection," "unity," "completeness," and "reunion." Beyond this official design concept, I understand it as nature's eternal cycle and balance, where all things nurture and promote each other. Appreciating designer Jean-Michel Gathy's ingenuity, benches and seating are placed beneath the Stargazing Pool, allowing guests to rest while viewing the sky during the day and the serene heavens at night. The outside world connects with guests through this interplay of square and circle. 2. The evening ritual takes place in the hotel's "Living Room and Library Bar," a space similar to an executive lounge. It's exclusively open to hotel guests of all room types who can relax and spend time here. The evening ceremony begins around 6:30 PM, where the host opens the Silk Road book and maps to share the history, traditions, and characteristics of each stop along the historical Maritime Silk Road. 3. Inspired by the Silk Road, 12 specially crafted cocktails offer a taste journey through 6 destinations, including the Mediterranean, Middle East, India, Thailand, and Sanya, creating a harmony of visual, auditory, and taste experiences that capture the essence of the Silk Road journey. Guests can enjoy a drink with accompanying snacks on the outdoor seating, taking in the magnificent ocean views while quietly enjoying the sunset and awaiting nightfall. 4. During the day, the "Living Room and Library Bar" serves tea, coffee, soft drinks, and light snacks, with premium water from Perrier and San Pellegrino. The relaxation area features curved bookshelves filled with books, art and fashion magazines, and porcelain, with seating below for convenient access. In the bar area, two small spaces flank either side, one storing various wines and the other containing spices and cocktail ingredients. 5. In guest rooms, visitors can mix their own refreshing cocktails using spirits provided by Tanqueray and the minibar, with detailed instructions provided on the menu. Non-alcoholic beverages and snacks from the minibar are complimentary. 6. I stayed in the Ocean View Villa, which starts from a generous 88 square meters (as do the basic rooms), offering elegant luxury. The designer extensively used natural wood and earth tones to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Bold touches of mustard yellow and vermilion red add brightness and contemporary flair to this color scheme. Everything from interior materials to amenities and hardware is carefully selected, with TWG tea bags in various flavors, Diptyque bath products, Aulux speakers, and premium French porcelain from Bernardaud. 7. The rooms feature an open design with spacious balconies and spectacular ocean views. The dressing room has two highlights: expandable clothing racks to accommodate women's dresses, and a butler window allowing service requests and laundry to be handled without disturbing guests while meeting all service needs.
