[New Zealand North Island] Excellence Hotel Rotorua Dining Experience: Maori Specialty Meals and Performances

#September2025 Besides the comfortable accommodations at the Distinction Rotorua Hotel, the hotel's dinner and breakfast buffets also added a touch of excitement to our trip. For dinner, the hotel restaurant served a buffet filled with local flavor. While the menu wasn't extensive, each dish showcased the unique characteristics of New Zealand's Maori people. From traditional meats to fresh seafood, the dishes were not only delicious but also allowed us to experience the rich cultural heritage of the region. During dinner, the hotel also arranged a Maori performance. Dancers dressed in traditional costumes, accompanied by passionate drumming and singing, showcased the unique charm of Maori culture. The next morning, we returned to the restaurant for breakfast. The buffet selection was relatively simple, yet equally full of local New Zealand flavors.
