A Day Exploring the Diverse Charms of Quanzhou

Day Trip to Quanzhou During my stay in Xiamen, I took a day trip to Quanzhou. Starting from Xiamen North Station, I traveled to Quanzhou Station, and my first stop was Kaiyuan Temple. The serene atmosphere allowed me to truly experience the spirit of Buddhism. Afterward, I strolled through West Street, immersing myself in the everyday life of Quanzhou and enjoying the local vibe alongside the residents. At the Confucian Temple, I felt the essence of Confucian culture and reflected on its values in the tranquil surroundings. Next, I visited Qingjing Mosque, where the peaceful and sacred ambiance of the Islamic temple brought a sense of calm. This was another moment to appreciate the diversity of religion and culture. Following that, I went to Guan Yue Temple, a shrine dedicated to Guan Yu and Yue Fei. It was a bustling place with many visitors, and despite the lively atmosphere, the historical significance left a strong impression on me. Finally, I had dinner at Jiangmu Duck Restaurant. The tender duck meat paired with rich seasoning and ginger was absolutely delicious. The strong flavors made it perfect to enjoy with rice. After the meal, I returned to Quanzhou Station and took the high-speed train back to Xiamen Station. In just one day, I was able to fully experience the diverse charms of Quanzhou, visiting various religious and historical sites that left me deeply satisfied.
