Mount Qingyuan ✅ One of the 9 5A-level scenic areas in Fujian 🌟 Mount Qingyuan Mount Qingyuan is known as a sacred place of Taoism. As early as the Qin Dynasty, it was said to be a place for "Taoist cultivation". The mountain is home to a large number of cultural relics and historical sites, especially the 36 caves and 18 scenic spots. There are 7 large stone sculptures of Taoism, Buddhism, and Tibetan Buddhism from the Tang, Song, and Yuan Dynasties, 9 statues, and 3 granite stone chambers of wooden structure from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. There are more than 600 cliff inscriptions. ✳️ How to visit The highest peak is 498 meters high. You can walk or take a private car in the scenic area 🚗 to the top of the mountain (CNY 15 per person) and reach Nantai Rock (the highest point). It takes 50 minutes to go up and 40 minutes to go down. There are two trails. One is winding and gentle from Tianhu, and the other is relatively straight and takes less time. 🎫 Ticket: CNY 70 🅿️ Parking: There are parking lots at Laojun Rock and the trail, which are relatively convenient. ❇️ Must-see 💠 Nantai Rock A landmark of the integration of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, with the Sanqing Hall, Nantai Temple, and Kuixing Pavilion lined up in a row at a distance of less than 1,000 meters. 🔸 There are two trails to the highest point, and you can come from Laojun Rock or Sanpu Pavilion. It is 200 meters away from the car 🚗, and the car costs CNY 15 per person. 💠 Tianhu An artificial lake scenic area at an altitude of 368 meters, the best choice for overlooking the city of Quanzhou and the mountain scenery. 🔸 There is a post office cafe here, a place for leisure or the end of the trail ride. 💠 Baizhangping The huge stone is flat like a whetstone, about 30 meters wide and 70 meters long, with an area of about 2,100 square meters. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the eminent monk Ke Zun once lived here, and Yu Dayou often practiced martial arts here with his friend Deng Hansong when he was young. 🔸 Be careful of slipping on rainy days. 💠 Master Hongyi's Sarira Pagoda The whole stone pagoda is composed of a single stone chamber and a sarira pagoda. In the middle of the inner wall, there is an inlaid diabase sculpture of "Master Hongyi's Portrait", which is a stone carving of the "Tear Ink Painting" portrait drawn by the famous cartoonist Feng Zikai for his mentor. On the east side of the stone pagoda is the master's last ink painting "Mixed Feelings" before his death. 💠 Amitabha Rock In the Song Dynasty, the Amitabha statue was carved on the mountain, and it was called Amitabha Temple. In the 24th year of Zhizheng in the Yuan Dynasty (1364), a wooden stone chamber was built. The Amitabha Temple below the stone chamber is said to have been built in the Tang Dynasty. The temple has been repaired in all dynasties and is the most famous of the four famous temples in Mount Qingyuan in ancient times. "Yixiao Terrace" outside the stone chamber is a great place to enjoy the view. 💠 Bixiao Rock The "Three Buddhas" of Bixiao Rock is a cliff relief carved in the 29th year of Zhiyuan in the Yuan Dynasty (1292). It has a history of more than 700 years and is the earliest and best-preserved stone sculpture of the "Three Buddhas" of Lamaism in China. 🌟🌟 There will be local people leading the way on the road, charging CNY 35 per person. There is a risk of ticket evasion, so be careful.
