A Colourful Adventure for Just a Few Ringgit

#cheaptravel Who says cheap travel can’t be exciting? During my Penang trip, Kek Lok Si Temple gave me a full cultural experience with hardly any spending. The place is full of colors, from the hanging lanterns to the tiled walls. There’s even a beautiful pond filled with turtles! I only paid a small fee for the tram ride, and everything else was mostly free to explore. What made it more special was the wishing ribbons—you can write your hopes and dreams and tie them along the walkway. It’s a lovely activity that costs just a couple of ringgit but feels priceless. I spent a whole morning just wandering, taking photos, and enjoying the peaceful temple grounds. This place proves you don’t need to spend a lot to create rich travel memories.
