🇮🇩 Kawah Putih: A Beautiful Crater

When you are in Indonesia, one thing you must know is that Indonesia is the country with the most volcanoes in the world. Hence you definitely should take time in Indonesia to go and take a look with your own eyes some of the absolutely stunning volcanic craters there. Last month, I went to Kawah Putih, which literally means white crater. This is a top choice if you are based in Jakarta. Kawah Putih is located south of Bandung, which is a quick high-speed train ride from Jakarta. You can take the “Whoosh” high speed train from Jakarta to Bandung in 30 minutes, then a 2 hour ride to Kawah Putih. Once at Kawah Putih, you will be at over 2000 metres above sea level and that will feel really good in the normal heat of Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Most tourists would just stay around the crater but the best part is always off the beaten track, right? I would recommend heading to the area behind with tea plantations as well as a hike up to get a panoramic view of the crater. Truly spectacular. #indonesia #bandung #kawahputih
