[Bandung] A One-Night, Two-Day Trip to Karuizawa by Train

This time, I went to Bandung, known as Indonesia's Karuizawa, which is cooler than Jakarta and popular among locals as a summer resort 🍃 🚃 How to get there: 　From Jakarta to Padalarang Station by Woosh in 30 minutes 　→ From Padalarang Station to Bandung Station by local train in about 30 minutes 🎡 Tourist spots: ・Kawah Putih A volcanic lake with melted sulfur located about an hour and a half by car from Bandung city You can get very close to the sulfur lake, a unique experience in Indonesia 🇮🇩, but since sulfur is harmful to the body, it is recommended to stay for about 15 minutes! ・Rengganis Suspension Bridge A local tourist spot about 15 minutes by car from Kawah Putih Crossing the long, swaying suspension bridge leads to a sulfur hot spring The temperature is about 40 degrees Celsius, and it’s nice to soak your feet in it ♨️ ・Asia-Africa Conference Museum A museum located on the popular Braga Street in Bandung city The site where the famous Asia-Africa Conference was held The conference was held in 1995 to strengthen cooperation among the Third World powers, and you can learn about the diplomatic history with ASEAN countries 📚 Admission was free! 🏨 Hotel: Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers Located about 15 minutes by car from Braga Street The hotel's decor creates a resort atmosphere, making it perfect for a relaxing hotel stay in a summer resort ◎ Also, the hotel has many activities such as pony riding, badminton, and a playground for small children, giving the impression that many families stay here! 🥘 Food & Restaurants: ・Braga Permai A restaurant with retro decor that retains the atmosphere of the Dutch era You can enjoy Western dishes such as Dutch cuisine, pasta, and pizza! Of course, beer and other alcoholic drinks were available 🍻 There is also live band performance at night! ・Kopi Toko Djawa (Braga) A cafe with retro decor as well Be careful as there are few seats ⚠️ ・Sweet Cantina The most popular gelato shop on Braga Street 🍨 A famous shop with a line all day long This time, I chose refreshing mango ice cream! ・Braga Art Cafe As the name suggests, the interior is stylish and relatively easy to enter! Since many cafes on Braga Street are crowded, this cafe is perfect for a break! 🛍️ Shopping: ・Fortuna Shoes An Indonesian leather shoe brand store about 10 minutes by car from Braga Street 👞 Known in Japan under the brand name Jalan Sriwijaya There were also items available for about 10,000 yen cheaper than in Japan! If you have time, please visit! That was a very satisfying one-night, two-day trip to Bandung!
