Bandung, another city worth visiting in Indonesia

The journey from Jakarta CGK Airport took about two hours by chartered van. Being a city with an active volcano, we traveled with our family of seven, so we rented a van with a driver for convenience. The first night, we strolled Braga Street, the most colorful street in Bandung, filled with tourists and street vendors. The next day, we visited Tangkuban Parahu and Kawah Domas. The entrance fee for foreigners is approximately 200KRW. On the second day, we visited Kawah Putih, or White Crater, to enjoy the view from the top and walk down the bridge to the center of the crater. #Bandung #Indonesia Overall, it's a beautiful city worth visiting, and the cost of living is relatively affordable. Caution: The sun is very strong, so bring an umbrella or sunscreen.

RunAlong
White Crater

Find Your Inner Explorer at White Crater, Pasirjambu 🌋🌿 Step into a surreal world where mist swirls above emerald lakes and volcanic cliffs—White Crater (Kawah Putih) is Pasirjambu’s star, perfect for nature lovers and culture seekers alike. Come for the scenery, stay for the unique local vibes! 🧭 Route & Must-Dos: Start early to beat the crowds and catch the magical morning mist over the crater lake. After entering (ticket only IDR 13,000), stroll the main boardwalk for up-close views of the turquoise water and surreal white sands—don’t miss the wooden platforms for dreamy vistas! Circling the crater rim, you’ll discover small cultural stalls offering Sundanese snacks and locally brewed coffee—a real taste of West Java. 📸 Insta-Worthy Spots: Best shots are at the lakeside curve (watch how sunlight plays on the water!) and the boardwalk overlooking the milky crater. Extra points for capturing the distant cliffs framed by lush forest. Pro tip: Early mornings = soft light and fewer people in your frame. 💡 Visiting Tips: Wear a mask or bring a scarf—the sulfur scent is strong! Dress in layers, as the mountain weather shifts fast. Weekdays are way quieter than weekends. Don’t linger too long by the shore due to the fumes. Small local shuttles can take you from the gate up if you prefer skipping the short hike. ⚠️ Precautions: Move away from the shore if you feel dizzy—the sulfur is pretty potent. Supervise kids closely near the water’s edge. Bring a portable charger for phones—no shops on the rim! #Pasirjambu #WhiteCrater #NatureEscape #WestJava #TravelTips
