Visiting Guide for the Popular Blue Ocean Dome at the Osaka Expo

Reservations are required to enter the dome, and the visit lasts approximately 30 minutes. Located outside the West Gate, adjacent to the Gundam Pavilion. Designed by Shigeru Ban with interior installations by Kenya Hara. The structure consists of three spherical buildings connected together. Shigeru Ban explored different eco-friendly materials for each dome, and the structural details are clearly visible when you look up. After the exhibition ends, the domes will be transported to the Maldives for further use. Since my reservation was for a late time slot, it was the last pavilion I visited that day, but its impact left me deeply moved and unable to calm down for a long time. The themes of ocean, sustainability, anthropology—eternal and classic—were profoundly felt as I immersed myself in the flow of water, observed the thriving marine ecosystems, and experienced the Earth's day-night cycles. Listening to the majestic roar of the ocean's currents, every heartbeat and breath seemed to convey information from different dimensions. Life's continuity requires human protection. I don't want to forget this overwhelming experience.
