We took a red-eye flight from Thailand and arrived at Kansai Airport in the morning. A bit sleepy, but as soon as I saw the “Welcome to Japan” sign, I was wide awake! 😆 After clearing immigration, we exchanged for the ICOCA card and Haruka Express pass, making our journey into the city super convenient. Our accommodation was in Namba, a bustling area perfect for shopping, dining, and sightseeing—all in one place. Just a few minutes’ walk from the station, and we were at our hotel. Perfect! After settling in, we wasted no time and headed to Dotonbori, home to the iconic Glico sign! It was crowded but so much fun. The vibe was like, “Wow, I’m really in Japan!” 🤍 Along the way, we enjoyed hot takoyaki with bouncy octopus and warm oden—absolutely delightful. We ended the first day by sitting by the canal, admiring the beautiful lights, and quietly telling myself, “This trip is going to be amazing.” 🌙✨ ⸻ 🎢 Day 2 — Universal Studios Japan (USJ, here I come~) Today was a childhood dream come true! We woke up at 5 AM, all set to visit Universal Studios Japan. Dressed in pastel-themed outfits with a Minion headband, we were ready to go. Our first stop was the newest attraction, Super Nintendo World. My heart was racing! Everything was so adorable, from the mushroom blocks to the green pipes and the familiar sound effects from Mario games. It felt like stepping into a cartoon world! 🍄🎮 Next, we visited the Harry Potter zone, which was absolutely breathtaking. Walking through the train path and seeing the Hogwarts castle in real life was just wow! We sipped butterbeer and tried the “Forbidden Journey” ride, which was so thrilling I almost screamed mid-air! 🧙🏻♀️ We wrapped up the day in the Minions zone, which was too cute for words. I wanted to buy everything in the gift shop—plushies, keychains, banana-themed notebooks! 🍌💛 ⸻ 🌸 Day 3 — A Cultural Day in Kyoto with a Cute Kimono 🍁 Today, we took a train to Kyoto, a city brimming with authentic Japanese charm. Just walking through the station felt like stepping back in time to the Shogun era. Upon arrival, we immediately rented kimonos! I chose a sweet peach-colored one with a sakura-patterned obi, feeling like a character straight out of an anime. 📷 Dressed up, we headed to Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of red torii gates forming a continuous path. It was stunning! Every angle was picture-perfect. 🍂 Later, we strolled around Gion, an area with traditional wooden houses and chic matcha cafes. Sipping matcha with Japanese sweets while listening to soft traditional music was such a heartwarming experience. 💚 ⸻ 🏯 Day 4 — Osaka Castle & Shinsaibashi (Hello, new bag~) We woke up to a cool, clear morning. Today’s plan was to visit Osaka Castle. The green and gold castle against the blue sky, surrounded by red and yellow leaves, was like a painting. 🏯🍁 After exploring the castle, we headed to Shinsaibashi, a shopping haven! Fashion lovers would go crazy here—GU, WEGO, Korean-Japanese themed cafes, and countless cosmetic stores! 💄💅🏻 I couldn’t resist buying a small pink bag (even though I told myself I wouldn’t… oops 😅). In the evening, we enjoyed ramen at a small shop in Nipponbashi. The owner spoke little English but was all smiles and super friendly. The cozy atmosphere and delicious ramen made it a perfect end to the day. 🍜 ⸻ 🍓 Day 5 — Kuromon Market & Goodbye Osaka (For now!) It was our last day, and I didn’t want to leave 😭. We visited Kuromon Market, known as “Osaka’s Kitchen.” The food was endless—sushi, sea urchin, tamagoyaki, grilled scallops, and melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef! Walking and eating was pure bliss. 💥 Before heading back, we stopped by Don Quijote in Dotonbori for souvenirs. The variety was overwhelming—snacks, matcha, face masks, allergy medicine (for those buying gifts for moms). 🛍️ We took the train back to Kansai Airport with full hearts. Looking out at the evening cityscape, I thought… Osaka has truly made me fall in love without even realizing it. 🩵 ⸻ 💌 Final Thoughts: Osaka is as lovely as the company you travel with ☁️ This Osaka trip wasn’t just a vacation; it felt like pausing time to live a lighthearted life straight out of a favorite novel.
