Osaka Travel Review 💖 This city is absolutely charming!

I'll share all the details with you. ⸻ Starting the journey at Kansai Airport ✈️ I landed at Kansai Airport, which is stunning. It's located on an island in the sea and is very convenient to travel from. There's the JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service train that connects directly to Osaka city, making it super easy. I chose to stay in the Namba area, which is a popular shopping and entertainment district in Osaka. ⸻ Day 1: Exploring Dotonbori, the hub of food and excitement 🍡🍢 After checking into my accommodation, I rushed to Dotonbori for a stroll. Dotonbori is a lively pedestrian street filled with large, beautiful neon signs. It's a landmark where everyone must take a photo with the iconic Glico Man sign—so cute! The food here is a must-try, especially Takoyaki (octopus-filled balls). Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with sweet sauce and mayonnaise—so delicious you can't stop eating! Another dish I tried was Okonomiyaki, a Japanese-style pancake mixed with vegetables and meat, topped with sweet sauce and mayonnaise. It's unforgettable! There are also many cute cafes, dessert shops, and souvenir stores. The atmosphere here is truly lively and fun. ⸻ Day 2: Thrills at Universal Studios Japan 🎢🎠 The next day, I visited Universal Studios Japan (USJ). This place is suitable for all ages, with plenty of rides and shows! My favorite was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which made me feel like I was in a magical world. I strolled through Hogsmeade village, sipped sweet and cold Butterbeer, and took photos with Hogwarts Castle. It felt like being a real wizard student! Another exciting area was Super Nintendo World, featuring the Mario Kart 3D ride that makes you feel like you're racing in the game. Highly recommended—it's so much fun! ⸻ Day 3: Relaxed shopping at Shinsaibashi and cute desserts 🛍️🍰 Today, I wandered around Shinsaibashi, a long shopping street with a variety of stores ranging from famous brands to small shops selling authentic Japanese items. I bought adorable souvenirs like mochi, daifuku, and fluffy soufflé cakes for my friends. They were so delicious I wanted to keep some for myself! ⸻ Day 4: A day trip to Kyoto, the classic cultural city 🌸🎋 Osaka is very close to Kyoto, so I decided to take a one-day trip there. Kyoto is a city full of ancient temples, beautiful gardens, and a nostalgic atmosphere. The highlight was Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, with its rows of red torii gates stretching up the mountain. It felt like stepping into a fairytale world. I also strolled through the Gion district, where I saw geishas and maikos passing by. They were so beautiful and charming, giving me a genuine Japanese cultural experience without needing to visit a museum. ⸻ Day 5: Exploring Kuromon Ichiba Market and tasting fresh seafood 🦐🍣 Back in Osaka, I visited Kuromon Ichiba Market, a fresh market filled with seafood like grilled scallops, tempura shrimp, sushi, and sweet, crispy fruits. This place is perfect for those who love trying unique foods and experiencing authentic Osaka culinary culture. My favorite part was tasting fresh, delicious food that made me want to eat more and more. ⸻ Final day: Relaxing at Namba Parks and shopping for souvenirs at Don Quijote 🎁✨ Before heading home, I strolled around Namba Parks, a shopping mall with a beautiful rooftop garden where you can relax and take photos. Then, I went souvenir shopping at Don Quijote. This place has everything—from snacks and cosmetics to cute gifts. Everyone ends up spending a lot here! ⸻ Tips for enjoying Osaka to the fullest 💡 • Get an ICOCA or Suica card for trains and buses—it’s convenient and saves time. • Wear comfortable walking shoes because you’ll walk a lot. • Download navigation and translation apps on your phone to make traveling easier. • Bring your own reusable bag since Japan rarely provides free plastic bags. • Don’t forget to try Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki, the city’s signature dishes! ⸻ Final impressions 💕 Osaka is a city that perfectly blends vibrancy, delicious food, and fun.
