[Nagano] Lots of free hot springs! Head to Nozawa Onsen

#Spring0yenTrip Nozawa Onsen is a laid-back place that still retains the atmosphere of an old-fashioned hot spring town. Locals can be seen using the public baths scattered around the town on a daily basis, and I felt the deep culture of hot springs. All the hot springs are free to enter, but there is a box for a donation, so it's a good idea to put a little in. If you visit in the snowy winter, the snowy scenery and the steam from the hot springs create a fantastic scene that is soothing to the soul. Restaurants and souvenir shops line the center of town, where you can enjoy local specialties and regional cuisine. Many of the meals are made with fresh vegetables and seasonal ingredients, and the dishes using "Nozawana" were particularly impressive. It was a wonderful place where you could relax your mind and body, surrendering yourself to the relaxed flow of time and the calm atmosphere of the hot spring town.
