A Comfortable Choice in Jakarta—Sunlake Hotel

At the end of May, I traveled to Jakarta on business and chose the Sunlake Hotel, located at Jl. Danau Permai Raya Blok C1, Sunter, Jakarta. The hotel is conveniently located; it's about an hour's taxi ride from the airport, and there are some small shops and restaurants nearby, making dining very convenient. 🎨 Although the hotel's decor is a bit dated, it still looks good overall. The reception staff were warm and courteous, and the check-in process was quick. The hotel facilities include a gym, swimming pool, and sauna. What surprised me most was the variety of restaurants within the hotel, especially the Indian restaurant. The authentic Indian food paired with Bollywood music was a fantastic experience! 🎶 🚪 The room was spacious with a simple design, but not particularly luxurious or modern. The bed was large and comfortable, and the room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the city and the lake. However, the balcony was a bit dirty, and some bird droppings needed to be cleaned. After checking in, I found that the bathroom not only lacked a shower caddy but also had some stains on the wall. Overall, the room facilities were fairly complete but slightly outdated. 🌆 There are also many attractions near the hotel, such as Delta Spa Kelapa Gading, SeaWorld, and Kelapa Gading Mall. I also went to the nearby Catappa Restaurant in the evening; the atmosphere and food were both excellent! If you like shopping, Mall of Indonesia is also a good option. 🍽️ Breakfast definitely needs improvement. Not only are the choices limited, but the taste is also average. However, their Indian dishes and cakes were delicious! I wonder if it's the cinnamon and nut combination that makes them so special. Overall, there's still some room for improvement in the dining experience. If you want to visit Jakarta, the Sunlake Hotel is a bit far from the city center. However, if you're traveling to the north for business or other purposes, this is a good choice. The price is reasonable, and although the hotel is a bit old, the facilities and service are quite good, making it a great value. 😄 In summary, the Sunlake Hotel is a comfortable and affordable choice. The downside is that the facilities are a bit outdated. I hope the hotel can strengthen its maintenance and cleaning in this regard. 🧼
