Upon arriving in Nice, I was greeted by the dazzling Mediterranean Sea and warm sunshine. The scenery, with its red rooftops and pastel-toned buildings, perfectly captured the romantic essence of southern France. I started by strolling along the Promenade des Anglais. This seaside walkway offered refreshing breezes and the soothing sound of waves. Simply sitting on a beach chair and gazing at the sea was enough to feel completely relaxed. The Old Town (Vieux Nice) was another captivating aspect of Nice. Its narrow alleys, lined with yellow and orange-hued buildings, were filled with quaint cafes and shops. At the Cours Saleya market, the aroma of fruits, flowers, and herbs brought the vibrant local life to the forefront. Climbing up to the Colline du Château (Castle Hill) viewpoint provided a panoramic view of Nice's coastline, the old town, and the endless Mediterranean Sea. At sunset, the sea and sky turned a fiery red, creating a scene as beautiful as a movie. To end the day, I enjoyed fresh seafood and rosé wine at a beachfront restaurant. Nice is a city where you don't need to do much—just walking and staying there makes for a perfect trip.
