Visit the Hard Man Ridge of Guanyin Mountain

#MarchGoodPlaces2025 Guanyin Mountain, also known as Yinghan Mountain, is the highest peak in Bali District. The mountaintop has an excellent view and a broad field of vision, with views of the Tamsui River estuary, Guandu Bridge, Taipei Basin, and the Datun Mountains in the distance. It has a special landscape of "Mist Spewing from Benling Mountain" and was once listed as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Tamsui and Northern Taiwan in the Qing Dynasty. At 616 meters above sea level, Yinghan Ridge is the highest peak in Guanyin Mountain. It got its name because the military police school used to train "tough guy spirit" here. There is an archway on the ridge, and on both sides there is a stone couplet that reads "Look for difficult roads to walk on, and choose heavy loads to carry; come here to learn to be a tough guy, and leave to be a tough guy." The trail entrance is located next to No. 41, Section 3, Lingyun Road. The Fulong Mountain Hiking Trail is the former section of the Guanyin Ancient Trail. At that time, there were 33 Buddha statues along the trail, showing the 11-faced Guanyin Bodhisattva, who appeared in the world to guide the lost people in the world. In addition to guiding believers on the pilgrimage to the mountain to worship Buddha, during the climb up the mountain, they can view 33 different images of Guanyin saving the world, enriching their self-cultivation and performing the etiquette of worshiping Buddha. Guanyin Mountain is very cool and beautiful along the way, with butterflies flying everywhere and the observation deck on the top of the mountain. There are amazing and vast landscape views. I also saw a cute squirrel when I was going down the mountain. transportation: 1. Take the bus from Taipei City's Tacheng Street North Gate to Guanyin Mountain, which runs every 40 to 50 minutes to reach Lingyun Temple on Guanyin Mountain. 2. Take the MRT Tamsui Line and transfer to the Luzhou Line at Minquan West Road Station. Transfer to Sanchong Bus Route 20 at Exit 1 of Luzhou Station (before 10:00 a.m. on weekdays and before 4:30 p.m. on holidays, you can go directly to Guanyinshan Visitor Center. It stops at Lingyun Temple at other times).
