Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum: Crowds and Wintersweet Fragrance, Exploring Historical Relics

Although the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum was crowded, I was lucky to see the wintersweet in full bloom, which added a lot of fun to the trip. In addition to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, I also visited the Ming Dongling Mausoleum and the Tomb of Sun Quan. The tomb of Zhu Biao is separated from the tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang by a wall, but it is deserted, which is in stark contrast to the lively Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. The Tomb of Sun Quan was even more difficult to find, which made me sigh at the historical fate of the Emperor of Eastern Wu. The Wutong Avenue I passed on the way down the mountain was really beautiful, especially when I imagined the scenery in autumn, which was even more fascinating. However, the large number of people slightly affected the viewing experience. In addition, it should be noted that it is no longer possible to take a taxi directly to the entrance of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. You need to take a shuttle bus or walk up the mountain, which is a big challenge for tourists like me. In general, although there were some regrets on this trip to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, the blooming wintersweet and the beautiful scenery of Wutong Avenue were still unforgettable. I look forward to having the opportunity to visit again next time to make up for the regret of not being able to enjoy it this time.
