Night at the Museum: Nanjing Museum Night Tour Experience

I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the night tour of the Nanjing Museum and had a unique museum tour. The night tour coincided with the special exhibition "The World of the Ming Dynasty," which takes Zheng He's voyages to the West as the main line and vividly shows the economic and cultural exchanges between the East and the West in history. It is worth seeing. In the limited time, I focused on a few important artifacts in the special exhibition: the golden beast, the golden cicada and jade leaf, the red plum vase with the pattern of the three friends of winter, the brick painting of the seven sages of the bamboo forest and Rong Qiqi, etc. Each one is breathtaking, and I deeply felt the splendor of the Ming Dynasty and the integration of Eastern and Western cultures. In addition, although the time was short, I still hurriedly browsed some of the permanent exhibitions. Compared with the Six Dynasties Museum, the permanent exhibitions of the Nanjing Museum are slightly lacking in exhibition layout, and it feels more like a simple pile of cultural relics. However, given the richness and preciousness of the Nanjing Museum's collection, this shortcoming seems to be no surprise. Overall, although the night tour was limited in time, it was very rewarding. I look forward to having the opportunity to visit the Nanjing Museum again and savor the unique charm of each artifact.
