Chinese new year celebration

#celebrateit The annual "Nagasaki Lantern Festival" that attracts 1 million people every year is held in Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown. Originally, it was an event for Chinatown people to celebrate the Chinese New Year, but it expanded in 1994 and became a winter feature of Nagasaki. During the period, about 15,000 polar colour lanterns (Chinese lanterns) will be decorated throughout the city, such as Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown, Minato Park, Central Park, the area around the Eyeglass Bridge, Hamaichi and Kanko Street arcades, and various large and small objects will be decorated to colour the city, and every day, events rich in Chinese colours such as dragon dance, Chinese acrobatics, and erhu performances will be held.
