The Great Use of the Nation - Mianyang Han Horse Exhibition.

With "Mianyang Han Horse" as the theme, the exhibition highlights the "Han Horse" series of cultural relics in the Mianyang Museum collection. The exhibition is divided into three sections: "Majestic Horses and Chariots," "Fine Horses of Shu," and "Heavenly Horses Galloping Across the Battlefield." The Western Han lacquered wooden horses were unearthed in 1995 from Tomb No. 2 at Shuangbaoshan, Yongxing Town, Mianyang High-tech Zone, and underwent dehydration and reinforcement treatment in 2007. Dozens of lacquered wooden horses are arranged in a row, with their heads held high, large eyes, neat manes, erect ears, open mouths showing teeth, and shiny black manes. Their four hooves are powerful and majestic. The "Han Dynasty Pottery Horse Array" displays pottery horses with distinct regional characteristics. Perhaps due to the hilly terrain of the area, most of the horses are plump, with short, thick limbs and strong hooves, reflecting the social, economic, and transportation conditions of Han Dynasty Mianyang. The "Eastern Han Bronze Horse Figurine" was unearthed in February 1990 from the Eastern Han cliff tomb at Hejiashan, Mianyang, and this major archaeological discovery immediately caused a sensation across the country. As one of the most representative Chinese cultural relics, it has traveled across the world several times. Its majestic appearance fully demonstrates the spiritual temperament and artistic accomplishments of the Han Dynasty Chinese people.
