The new museum was officially opened to the public on August 10, 2016, covering an area of 43,527.94 square meters, with a building area of 29,960 square meters. It is a national second-class museum. Mianyang Museum not only showcases the history and culture of Mianyang but also covers various aspects such as natural ecology and intangible cultural heritage. Through rich exhibits and exhibitions, it presents the cultural and natural heritage of Mianyang from ancient times to the present to the public.
