Elegant tea time at the Imperial Hotel in Kamikochi

Kamikochi, Nagano Prefecture After walking a lot while feeling the fresh air, we had a little luxurious tea time at the Imperial Hotel. Kamikochi Imperial Hotel is Japan's first full-scale mountain resort hotel, with its iconic red triangular roof. Although it opened in 1933, the current building was rebuilt in 1977. The rooms are a little old, so we decided not to stay overnight, but to enjoy the cafe and lunch. There is a large mantelpiece in the center of the lounge. During the cold season when the daytime temperature is below 15℃, the bellman holds a fire-lighting ceremony at 5pm.
