Wang Nam Yen Forest Monastery, Maha Sarakham Province

A large and beautiful temple on a spacious area of ​​over 30 rai in Tambon Koeng, Amphoe Mueang, Maha Sarakham Province, built by Phra Ajarn Suriyant Khosapanyo, a disciple of Luang Pu Khamphan Khosapanyo, a revered monk of the Isan people, since 2006 until it was legally elevated to a temple status in 2012. The highlight of Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen is the large and beautiful golden Chedi Sri Maha Sarakham, which can be seen from afar, as well as the largest wooden sala in the country, which uses 112 wooden pillars.
