Invite to visit “Phra That Na Dun” to worship and ask for blessings. Phra That Na Dun is located at Ban Na Dun, Na Dun District, Maha Sarakham Province. It is an important place of Buddhism for the people of Maha Sarakham. It is a place of worship built to bring good fortune to the region. The surrounding area has been developed to be a center for promoting Buddhism and arts and culture in the Northeastern region. Therefore, it is called “Isan Buddha Monthon”. The area around the chedi is spacious and decorated as a botanical garden with trees from the life of the Buddha. Phra That Na Dun is an area where historical and archaeological evidence has been excavated to show the prosperity in the past because this area used to be the location of the city of Champasak. Various antiques that were discovered are displayed at the Khon Kaen Provincial National Museum. Most importantly, a stupa containing the relics of the Lord Buddha in a gold, silver, and bronze box was excavated. It is believed to be from the 13th-15th Buddhist century, Dvaravati period.
