Shangxinwei in Hekou Village, Longnan, Jiangxi

Located to the left of Dequanwei, Shangxinwei is a Hakka walled village built in the 1960s and 1970s. It covers an area of approximately 2,000 square meters and has a "hui" (square with an enclosed courtyard) shape. The walled village has one front gate, with an ancestral hall in the center for ancestor worship. Two-story row houses with wooden stairs are located on the left, right, and rear sides. Over a hundred families live within the walled village. The entire structure is made of brick and wood, simple and practical. It reflects the development of traditional Hakka enclosed villages and embodies the characteristics of that particular era.
