Guests staying in deluxe rooms or higher can enjoy a table check-in service at the lounge on the 15th floor, bypassing the reception on the 2nd floor. Upon check-in, you can immediately indulge in lounge tea time and afternoon tea. Your luggage will already be placed in your room. After enjoying the high-quality tea time and afternoon tea, you can move to your room on the same floor. The hotel consists of three interconnected buildings stretching across Kyoto Station, with the north, south, and central sections connected like a bridge, facing Kyoto Tower. The room features Hollywood twin beds with elevated frames. Through the large windows, you can overlook the Kyoto Station platform and face the five-story pagoda of Toji Temple. The room is perfectly soundproofed, and the bathroom is spacious and separated, with the toilet discreetly angled for privacy. Elevators are located at both ends of the building, so it's advisable to plan your route based on the nearest elevator to your room. Familiarize yourself with the elevators connecting to the Hachijoguchi entrance and the reception area to minimize walking distance during your stay. From 5 PM to 7 PM, the lounge hosts a cocktail hour, remaining open until 8 PM. After 7 PM, food and champagne are no longer served, but snacks and nuts are still available. After finishing your day's activities, you can join the cocktail hour starting at 6:30 PM. Begin by selecting seven hot and cold dishes to plate. One of the highlights of this lounge is the wine dispenser, offering unlimited champagne. Two types of champagne are available, and you can pour up to three glasses of each. Whiskey and cocktails can be ordered at the bar, while beer and other beverages are readily available in the refrigerator for self-service. The wine dispenser is particularly impressive—just press a button, and it pours automatically. 😍 Finger foods are served in individual containers, making them convenient to eat and portioned perfectly. While the variety isn't extensive, the flavors are excellent. The chopped steak and gambas are so delicious that you'll find yourself going back for seconds. Pairing whiskey with the dishes and finishing with Ebisu dark beer is a great choice. The guest rooms on the 15th floor are located on the south side. There's a PC room right next to the guest rooms, but the internet speed was disappointingly slow. 🤣 The minibar offers a miniature bottle of Yamazaki 12-year whiskey for purchase—50ml for 1,100 yen. The bedding is exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. Check-out is conducted on the 2nd floor, and breakfast can be enjoyed at three different locations with four menu options. Instead of the buffet, I opted for a set meal. The breakfast view overlooks the central ticket gate of Kyoto Station. Watching the bustling flow of tourists starting their day at 7 AM adds a touch of serenity to the morning. After breakfast, I stored my luggage and began my second day's itinerary directly from Kyoto Station. Thank you.
