Make sure to visit before noon for fewer crowds and better photo opportunities 📸, plus no waiting in line. By the time we left, there was already a long queue at the entrance... [Here’s my personal guide 📝] 1⃣ Upon arriving at the matcha dessert shop next to the entrance of Kibune Shrine, place your order at the spot shown in photo 2⃣. 2⃣ When ordering, let the staff know you want to sit at the "Kawadoko seats," which are the first-row seats by the river. It costs 💴550 per person and is limited to 30 minutes. 3⃣ Once your drinks and desserts are ready, they’ll call your number. Carry your tray to the Kawadoko seating area shown in photo 4⃣. 4⃣ Find your seat according to the number on your ticket (it’s such a ceremonial experience ✨). 5⃣ After 30 minutes, remember to return your tray to the ordering area. The staff are super kind 🌿. Highly recommend any of their matcha drinks 🍵—you can’t go wrong! Their desserts are refreshing and not overly sweet.
