Hotel Tour｜A Trendy Hotel Hidden in the Ancient Capital

- Checking in to the long-awaited Ace Hotel, it's not a big name in Kyoto and is often jokingly referred to as a luxury hostel. In my opinion, under Kengo Kuma's design, it's young and vibrant, while the exterior retains a traditional Machiya style. A record player in the room is a signature feature of Ace Hotel, and you can even choose your own vinyl in the lounge area. The gleaming bathroom fixtures, polished daily, left a lasting impression (although it's only been open for four years, it's incredibly well-maintained! Kudos again). The clever "Now" and "Not Now" messages on the small brooms indicate immediate cleaning or do not disturb, respectively. During cleaning, a blank broom hangs on the door, and there are no cleaning carts in the hallway. Other pluses fall into my areas of interest: Ace Hotel Kyoto has collaborated with Aramasa Brewery, Noma Kyoto also chose this location (still couldn't get a reservation this year), and most rooms feature Isamu Noguchi's Akari paper lamps. 🔖Japan · Kyoto ｜Ace Hotel Kyoto ｜Ace Hotel Kyoto
