Jizo Temple: Buddhist temple, Zen temple and library in Puli Township, Nantou

Dizangyuan is a Buddhist temple located in Puli Township, Nantou County. It was founded in 1986 by the founder of Rencheng Temple, Venerable Shangsheng Xiakai, and is the second temple of Rencheng Temple. Its name comes from the main deity worshipped, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, who is said to be able to save all sentient beings in the six realms, establish Dharma connections, and benefit both the living and the dead. To visit Jizo Temple, take the Nantou bus from Taichung to Puli Town, and then take a taxi or bus to Jizo Temple. Opening hours: 8:00 - 17:00 daily, last admission at 16:30. Admission: Free, but donations are welcome to support the maintenance and promotion of the temple. Statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva: The main halls on the first and second floors of the temple respectively enshrine a 10-foot-tall bronze statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and a 10-foot-tall wooden statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, which are compassionate, solemn and perfect. Visitors can worship and pray in front of the statue and listen to the master's teachings. Seven Buddha Pagoda: The Seven Buddha Pagoda in the temple is a seven-story pagoda 33 meters high. Each floor enshrines a different Buddha statue, namely Sakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Manjushri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Guanyin Bodhisattva and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Visitors can climb to the top of the pagoda to enjoy the beautiful view of Puli Town and feel the wisdom of Buddhism. Liguo Qingliang Garden: Liguo Qingliang Garden in the temple is a Zen forest covering an area of ​​about 10 hectares. It retains the original forest style and is a good place for Zen meditation and sightseeing. There are also many Buddhist art stone sculptures and French in the forest, allowing visitors to experience the essence of Buddhism in nature. Prajna Library: The Prajna Library in the temple is a Buddhist library with a rich collection of various Buddhist classics, documents, periodicals and audio-visual materials. The environment is quiet and elegant, and it is a good place for tourists to study Buddhism.
