Wonderful Meteora

The views were breathtaking. Rocks were formed so naturally after millions of years of weathering and six active monasteries offer a glimpse into deep spiritual history. There are many hiking trails that are well-marked and accessible which is a good way to explore the area. Entrance fee for one monastery is 5€/pax. As the monasteries are religious sites, long skirts are required and shoulders must be covered for women. But some monasteries may offer wrap around skirts for women at the entrance.
