Sogil Noodles

Sogil Noodles, a popular spot for meat noodle dishes, is located to the right of the Paris Baguette at the Sinjeju Rotary. It operates daily from 8 AM to 8 PM, with a break time from 3:30 PM to 5 PM. While the restaurant does not have its own parking lot and parking in the Sinjeju area can be challenging, nearby paid parking lots (Jeju Bank, HJ Parking Lot, and Provincial Office Public Parking Lot) offer a 2,000 KRW parking fee subsidy, making it convenient to visit by car and enjoy their meat noodles or soup dishes. The interior features several wooden tables, creating an upscale atmosphere reminiscent of a high-end Korean restaurant. The name "Sogil" is derived from the combination of "So" (素) and "Gil" (䟌), symbolizing "a bowl of noodles filled with sincerity to return to the basics." Each table is equipped with a kiosk terminal for ordering and card payment. The menu includes meat noodles, bibim noodles, anchovy noodles, and anchovy meat noodles, with an additional charge of 1,000 KRW for larger portions. During the visit, meat noodles, soup, and a plate of boiled pork and sundae were ordered. Side dishes such as kimchi, pickled radish, soybean paste, and chili peppers are served in elegant plates alongside the main dishes. The broth, simmered for hours, was rich and flavorful without being overly salty, offering a well-balanced taste. The meat noodles featured five large pieces of pork, and the thickness of the noodles was personally satisfying. While some restaurants use thin noodles, the thicker noodles here provided a sense of fullness and absorbed the broth well, perfectly matching the taste preferences.
