A day on the Jeddah Corniche felt like a brief respite from the hustle and bustle of worship and travel. This long stretch of beach stretched beautifully, with neat paths, rows of date palms, and the calm Red Sea accompanying every step. I started the morning with a leisurely stroll along the shore. The sea breeze was still cool, the fresh air caressing my face, and the sound of the waves seemed like a natural remembrance. Several families sat enjoying a light breakfast, children running around, while fishermen busily worked their lines. As noon approached, I sat on one of the benches facing the sea. As I sipped my coffee, I let my gaze drift out into the endless blue. The breeze, carrying the salty scent of the sea, truly soothed my heart. I felt a sense of gratitude that was hard to describe—that Allah created such a beautiful place for us to enjoy, and at the same time, it reminded me of the vastness of His blessings. As evening approached, the atmosphere grew more lively. The sunlight slowly reflected off the sea's surface, creating a golden glow. Many people gathered, some taking photos, others simply sitting and enjoying the sunset. I became immersed in the moment, enjoying the increasingly gentle sea breeze, listening to conversations in various languages, and feeling the vibe of Jeddah, a modern yet traditional city. The evening on the Jeddah Corniche was the perfect ending. The garden lights were on, the fountains danced, and the sound of the waves continued to accompany me. Sitting there in contemplation, I felt like I had discovered another side of the Umrah journey—that there are times for devout worship, and there are also times for calming the soul by enjoying His creation.
