Xiyue Temple, Huayin

Xiyue Temple was built in the early years of the Yuan Guang period of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty (134 BC) and was a place where the feudal dynasties of China worshiped the god Shaohao of Mount Hua. After the Han Dynasty, it was repaired and built by successive dynasties, especially during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. By the 42nd year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1777), it had formed the scale and pattern of the present-day six-entry courtyard with a heavy city-style structure. After the decline of Xiyue Temple in the late Qing Dynasty, it was used as an ammunition depot for the Northwest Army during the Central Plains War of the Republic of China (1931-1932), and later as the 72nd Rear Hospital of the National Revolutionary Army. From 1969 to 1994, it was managed as a military management area by the 32nd Base of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission. In fact, the ticket here and the ticket for Mount Hua are the same ticket, and the two places use the same ticket.
