Leisurely Lunch at Lok Fu

On a weekday in Lok Fu, I visited a charming café called "Alfafa" for a delightful lunch. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance with spacious seating. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, and I opted for the less common slow-cooked duck leg with garlic fried spaghetti ($128), which comes with soup or salad and a drink. The duck leg was slow-cooked to perfection, with tender and juicy meat that wasn’t dry at all. It would have been even better if the skin was slightly crispier! The garlic fried spaghetti was full of aroma, had a nice wok hei (stir-fry essence), and the portion was generous. The soup of the day was pumpkin soup, which had a rich and sweet pumpkin flavor with a creamy texture. The accompanying bread was soft and fluffy—quite satisfying! The drink options here are extensive. I upgraded to a turmeric latte, which had a strong turmeric spice flavor with a hint of milkiness. It’s a rather unique and uncommon coffee choice.
