#Dragon Boat Festival good places 🏖️Environment/Facilities: The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department has started fossil excavation work in Chek Chau and has discovered about 30 rocks containing dinosaur bone fossils so far. Cleaning work is currently underway to allow for in-depth research on dinosaur fossils and to identify their species and habits. The "Dinosaur Reception Room" is where we gather together to explore the dinosaur stories of Hong Kong. 💞Recommendation reason: Hong Kong is a small place where you can find traces of dinosaur fossils. Very rare. The Hong Kong government announced the first discovery of dinosaur fossils at Chek Chau in the northeastern waters of the New Territories in the Hong Kong Geopark. Preliminary identification by experts from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology (IVPP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences shows that the fossils date back to the Cretaceous period. This exhibition allows us to take a peek behind the scenes of the cultural relics workers and the history of Hong Kong, which is of special significance.
