Hofu Tenmangu Shrine ⛩️ 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Hofu Tenmangu Shrine is said to be the first Tenjin shrine built in Japan. There are about 12,000 shrines dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane throughout the country, making it a historic shrine. It is also one of the three major Tenjin shrines in Japan. The deities enshrined are Sugawara no Michizane, Amenohohi no Mikoto, Takehi no Dori no Mikoto, and Nominosukune. You can see many cow🐃 statues associated with Michizane.
