Spring added an extra bit of magic to the scene, and the serene views around the shrine took our breath away. The stunning sights created memories that will stick with us forever. Originally established as a temple garden during the opulent 18th century, Mogusaen underwent a transformation into private ownership during the early Meiji era, only to be later acquired by the prestigious Keio conglomerate in the year 1957. The vast expanse of hilltop terrain provides breathtaking panoramic views overlooking Fuchu and the heart of Tokyo, while the garden itself is renowned for its impressive collection of around 500 plum trees, which bloom in a spectacular display of colors from the beginning of February until mid-March. Mogusaen is not only a sanctuary for nature enthusiasts but also a haven for bird watchers, as it is home to a diverse array of wild birds that can be observed throughout the year.
