🏔️Review of Dagu Glacier, the highest national park in Chengdu! 🇨🇳

For nature lovers and park enthusiasts, if you have the chance to visit Chengdu, consider adding Dagu Bingchuan or Dagu Glacier to your list! 🗻 Dagu Bingchuan is a national park where snow falls year-round. The peak, where people can climb up to take photos, is 4,860 meters high, making it the highest point in Chengdu. 🌳 The park is located in Heishui City. We'll be spending about two days and one night in this Chengdu trip. ⊹ We arrived in Heishui around 3 PM on the first day, so we called DiDi to our accommodation. ⊹ We took a walk around the area around our accommodation to take photos. The light was amazing! The colors were vibrant and the temperature was perfect, around 10 degrees Celsius. ⊹ The weather here gets colder as the night goes by. We left a bottle of water outside the window, turning it into cold water. But the heater in the room was very warm, so we slept comfortably. ⊹ On the morning of the second day, we woke up early to go to the national park because we were worried about the crowds and we were traveling to another city that afternoon. So we had to make some time. ⊹ The temperature in front of the park that morning was -2 degrees Celsius, but the wind wasn't too strong. —- ⊹ The outfit I wore for the weather that day was: 👚 Heattech shirt #1 + Heattech turtleneck shirt #2 + thick knitted shirt #3 👖 For the bottom, I wore a Heattech shirt underneath and a pair of jeans on the outside. 👟 I wore a pair of thick, long socks, then sneakers. —- ⊹ At the bottom of the park, I still felt that my outfit that day was still suitable. I was able to walk around and take photos as usual. ⊹ By the time I got to the top of the cable car, the temperature had risen to 0 degrees Celsius. The temperature should have been warmer, but in reality, it was actually colder. It was warmer because the sun was incredibly strong up there, but the cold wind was also very strong. And with all the snow around, the wind was getting colder and colder. ⊹ Because the sun was so strong, I didn't really check my photos when I took them. Since I couldn't see the screen, I focused on clicking as many times as I could and then choosing later. ⊹ We probably spent about 2 hours on the mountain, having taken enough photos and feeling a little overwhelmed, so we took the cable car down. ⊹ Since we were the first to go up, there weren't many people coming back down. On the cable car ride down, it was just me and my friend, so we continued taking photos. But because it was so high up, moving around a lot made me feel dizzy and nauseous, and I was starting to get symptoms of altitude sickness (AMS), so I just sat there until we reached the bottom. ⊹ Once we got down a bit, I felt better. I picked up my bag and quickly called DiDi to the bus station, taking my friend to Maoxian. —- 💰 Park entrance fee = 1990 baht per person, including round-trip cable car. *** Ticket prices vary each month.
