Hiroshima｜Chasing the tides and admiring the Torii gates, Miyajima is a beautiful place at both high and low tides

Miyajima, one of the three most scenic views in Japan along with Matsushima and Amanohashidate, is a must-see attraction every time you visit Hiroshima. At high tide, the roots of the huge vermilion torii gate are submerged in the water, while at low tide, the torii gate is reflected in the shallows, like a sacred road leading to another world. Like Nara, Miyajima also has deer, which are said to be messengers of God. They don’t ask for food or rush around, but stroll in front of Itsukushima Shrine like inspectors. In recent years, the shopping street has welcomed young entrepreneurs, and unique coffee shops and traditional red leaf steamed bun shops have each attracted customers.
