Hiroshima｜A small secret place with sea torii, beautiful sunset and shrine for praying

The first time I stood under the vermilion torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine, the sea water flooded over my ankles, and in the distance a herd of deer ran towards me on the breaking waves - it turns out that Itsukushima really is a breathing myth. 🚌 Transportation Guide: Hop on the ferry from Hiroshima, take the JR Sanyo Line to Miyajimaguchi Station, walk 5 minutes to the ferry terminal, take the JR ferry (free with the JR West Pass), and ten minutes later you’ll be greeted by the sparkling Seto Inland Sea and the vermilion torii gates floating in the mist. When the salty sea breeze blew on my face, I suddenly understood why Taira no Kiyomori insisted on building a shrine here a thousand years ago - between the ebb and flow of the tide, even time seemed to be crushed in the waves. 🗣️Brief history of Itsukushima: The shrine was built in 593 and dedicated to the goddess of navigation. Since then, it has been a famous sacred place for thousands of years. In 1996, it was listed as a World Heritage Site together with the Misen Primeval Forest. To this day, burials and farming are prohibited on the island, and a sacred deer roams around. 🌟 Highlights: 1. Itsukushima Shrine Floating Torii: At high tide, the shrine seems to float on the sea, and the vermilion torii and the Seto Inland Sea form a superb view, with a very photogenic rate! At low tide, you can walk under the Torii to touch the historical traces, and don't miss the tide table (check the official website in advance). 2. Inside the shrine: The red corridor connects the main hall and the treasure house. The national treasure "Heike Nokyo" is a must-see! The entrance fee is 300 yen, and the combined ticket is 500 yen, which includes the treasure house. 3. Misen Primeval Forest and Cable Car to See the Fall Foliage Take the cable car to the top of Mt. Misen, where you can see the red maple leaves all over the mountain in autumn, and the observation deck on the top of the mountain overlooks the panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea. 4. Interaction with the deer on Miyajima Island There are more than 600 wild deer roaming freely on the island. They are gentle and can "smile". Unlike in Nara, they will not bite people and can be fed. 5.
