Architectural Gaze & Leisurely Walk 🌇👣

Yuhang Grand Theater, currently known as Linping Grand Theater 临平大剧院 is surrounded by a beautiful park and meandering pathways where locals go for leisurely walks, picnics, singing or playing their instruments. The theater is reflected on East Lake which was the main influence for its design by a famous Danish landscape architect. This reflection was inspired by Hangzhou’s well-known West Lake. I went there on a late afternoon and loved how big and quiet this place is. There aren’t many people around so it’s easy to walk around and find a place to sit. It becomes busy when you move closer to the small pavilions where people sing or play their instrument, but it’s nothing really overwhelming at all.
