Lushi Old House, Ganpu, Haiyan, Zhejiang

Lushi Old House, also known as "Ganpu Spring and Autumn," was one of the "Ten Great Houses" of Ganpu in the late Qing Dynasty and the former residence of Lu Xueyuan, a scholar of the late Qing Dynasty. The building is a single-story brick and wood structure covering an area of about 200 square meters, with a typical Jiangnan traditional residential style. During the construction of the beautiful town, the building was protected and repaired and used as the Ganpu Historical Imprint Museum and Visitor Center. The building has become an important venue for displaying Ganpu's history and culture, showcasing its profound cultural heritage to the world. The museum displays the cultural treasures of famous people such as Gan Bao, the founder of the supernatural novel of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Chang Tang, a scholar of the Song Dynasty, and Yang Zi, a dramatist of the Yuan Dynasty. Through these precious materials, we can get a glimpse of the historical changes and cultural context of Ganpu for more than 1,300 years. As the only surviving former residence of the Lu family, it has witnessed the rise and fall of the family and has now become an important place for the inheritance and display of Ganpu's history and culture.
