Church in Gosau Village

After knowledgeable Gosau residents discovered an energy field between the two church buildings, a small church was built on this spot in 1775. The founders were the daughters of two salt workers from Hallstatt, Maria Sollinger and Maria Theresia Sengmüller. At that time, they donated 700 crowns to enable the construction of the small church and its use of the energy field. The stairs leading up to Calvary Chapel, along with the four chapels, tell the four secrets of the sorrowful Rosary. The fifth secret is revealed here in the small chapel.
