Fukuoka Travel Review – Fukuoka Tower, Hakata Street, Hamburg Steak, and Ramen On a day when the warm breeze blew, I strolled through the small city of Fukuoka. It wasn’t as bustling as Tokyo or as flashy as Osaka, but its simple, unpretentious daily life was truly delightful. Fukuoka Tower At the edge of the city, standing tall towards the sea. From the observation deck, the vast ocean unfolds, and through the glass windows, the city quietly lies below. I sat there silently for a while, letting go of the restless thoughts that had brought me here. Hakata Street A street that’s enjoyable just to walk through. Passing by small shops, cafes, and convenience stores, and even spotting the bus stop for Yufuin Onsen Village. Walking alongside locals riding bicycles, I found myself naturally slowing down here. A Bowl of Ramen While Ichiran is great, the pork broth ramen from a small alley shop was unforgettable. Rich and savory broth with a soft-boiled egg submerged in it, and thin, chewy Hakata-style noodles. With the first bite, I thought, "Ah, this is authentic Japanese ramen." Hamburg Steak A small, old-fashioned hamburg steak shop. Freshly grilled hamburg steak on a hot plate, and as you cut into it, the juices flow out. A bite of rice mixed with the juices was simply the best. While traditional Japanese cuisine is wonderful, this warm, hearty meal became a true travel memory. ⸻ The city was quiet, and the food was profound.
