Moments of Tranquility at Shouhoukaku

I love Shouhoukaku so much that I decided to share my experience in two articles. This one focuses on transportation and the hotel's environment and facilities. Transportation: The hotel offers free shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station, or you can take the Fuji Excursion Bus (Red Line) and get off at the Kubota Itchiku Art Museum stop. Upon arriving at Shouhoukaku, you'll notice that the names of all guests checking in today are displayed at the entrance. You can even look for your own name. Environment: Situated right by Lake Kawaguchi, the hotel boasts a prime location. The lobby, public baths, meditation pavilions, and rooms all offer stunning views of Mount Fuji. From the moment you step into Shouhoukaku, Mount Fuji is everywhere you look 🗻. To fulfill visitors' wishes of capturing the inverted Mount Fuji, the garden pond is designed to let you easily photograph a "fake inverted Mount Fuji" 😆. The meditation pavilions are thoughtfully designed, with perfect spacing between each pavilion to ensure a sense of personal space. Sitting there, gazing at Mount Fuji and the soaring eagles, evokes a feeling of "peaceful times." You can also walk from the meditation pavilion to the lakeside for photos. On clear, windless days, you might be lucky enough to see the inverted Mount Fuji (a complete reflection of Mount Fuji on the lake surface). Perhaps our good deeds paid off, as we were fortunate to witness the inverted Mount Fuji again this time 🥰. Afternoon happy hour: Enjoy unlimited nuts, red and white wine, beer, and whiskey highballs, as well as non-alcoholic beverages (tea, coffee, juice, sparkling water). A triple treat: foot baths, white wine, and Mount Fuji. Public baths: Both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths offer views of Mount Fuji. After soaking, you can use the complimentary massage chairs to fully relax. Since the Japanese-style rooms lack suitable desks and chairs for working, we moved to the public area in the lobby at night to work comfortably on our laptops without hunching over. A friendly option for workaholics 😆.
