Upon check-in, a hostess will escort you to your room. She not only introduces the room but also prepares tea for you to enjoy while explaining the details of your dinner. This time, I stayed in a standard tatami room. The room was spacious, with large, clean floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of Mount Fuji. You can also relax on the balcony and daydream. Although it's an older inn, it surprisingly features a smart TV with Netflix, which outshines many luxury hot spring hotels. Dinner was exquisite kaiseki cuisine. Before check-in, the hotel proactively asked about dinner time and dietary preferences. As a result, my sashimi was replaced with cooked dishes. About 15-20 minutes before dinner, the hostess came to the room to prepare the tableware and set the table. This time, I was lucky to have a Taiwanese hostess who professionally introduced each dish one by one. The serving pace was just right. Enjoying a refined dinner while gazing at Mount Fuji from the room was truly blissful. The kaiseki cuisine was not only delicious but also quite filling. In the evening, the hostess came to prepare the bedding, placing dried lavender by the pillow to wish you a good night's sleep! Breakfast was buffet-style, offering both Japanese and Western options. Although the variety was limited, every dish was meticulously prepared and delicious. They even had freshly fried tempura, making it perfect for a brunch-like meal. This experience was so wonderful! It has earned the top spot in my heart for Japanese hot spring inns. However, with only about 50 rooms, it's very hard to book. I hope I get the chance to stay here again next year 🥰
