#MarchGoodPlaces2025 November is the autumn leaves season at Lake Kawaguchi. In addition to admiring the red leaves, we also went to the Kawaguchiko Music Box Forest Museum. Although it was cloudy that day and we were unable to see the magnificent view of Mount Fuji, we were able to enjoy the unique world of music boxes in the museum. The architecture of the art museum is like a European town. Rather than calling it an indoor art museum, it is more like an outdoor exhibition park that combines nature and music. There are all kinds of music boxes of all sizes in the exhibition hall, including many precious collections, including the world's largest music box. If you want to fully appreciate the exhibits and performances, you need to set aside at least half a day, which is perfect for days when the weather is bad and you can't see Mount Fuji, or for travelers who have more time. The performances in the museum are held at different times, and we were lucky enough to encounter a sand painting performance and a soprano performance with a music box.
