The Three Gorges is a magnificent canyon along the Yangtze River and one of China's top ten scenic spots. It starts from Nanjin Pass in Yichang, Hubei Province in the east and ends at Baidi City in Fengjie County, Chongqing in the west. It consists of Xiling Gorge, Wu Gorge, and Qutang Gorge, with a total length of 191 km. Xiling Gorge is located in Yichang City and Zigui County, Hubei Province. It starts from Nanjin Pass in the east and ends at Xiangxi River in the west, with a length of about 66 km. It is the longest gorge among the Three Gorges and is famous for its rapids. Due to the construction of two dams, the main scenic spots start from Nanjin Pass in the east and end at Sandouping in the west. The hiking route usually starts from Shipai in Yichang and ends at Nantuo. Wu Gorge is located in Badong County, Hubei Province, and Wushan County, Chongqing. It starts from Guandu Pass in Badong County in the east and ends at the mouth of the Daning River in the east of Wushan County in the west, stretching for 40-50 km. The main scenic spots are from Qingshi to the Daning River. The hiking route mainly covers this section, including Shennv Peak, Shennv Stream, and the Three Gorges Wushan Gallery. The famous Twelve Peaks of Wushan include six peaks on the north bank: Denglong, Shengquan, Chaoyun, Wangxia (Shennv), Songluan, and Jixian, all of which are visible; and six peaks on the south bank: Jingtan, Qiyun, and Shangsheng are hidden behind the mountains on the shore, while Feifeng, Cuiping, and Juhe are visible. The Twelve Peaks are picturesque and have been famous for their beauty since ancient times. The ancient poem "Sailing down Wu Gorge, my heart is in the Twelve Peaks" expresses the beauty of the Twelve Peaks.
