Fayette was once a bustling industrial community that manufactured charcoal pig iron between 1867 and 1891. It's located on the shores of Big Bay de Noc – on Lake Michigan between Snail Shell Harbor and Sand Bay. Walk through the restored hotel, school, general store, doctors house and many more. The buildings which have been standing for over 150 years are so stunning and it's the perfect spot to visit to make memories with the family! When we went we even saw a deer while hiking the trails and the icecream in the souvenir shop was an added bonus!
