#familytravel While the canal du midi works for anyone and everyone. It particularly works well for a family holiday as it offers a bunch of side gigs and makes for a very satisfying activity. This is an inland waterway that is mainly used for tourism purposes now. It offers the most spectacular views of this region. The vibe is something else. We did it multiple times. Once as a boat tour. Which is highly recommended. And then when you fall in love with the canal, you can further explore your favourite parts on foot or even better on a bicycle. While on the boat tour of canal du midi, there were various time options. We picked 2 hours. And that was superb. The canal tour passes by some of the most charming scenery. From a vineyard, to the port of trebes, rode bridge, puicheric, la redorte and so much more that i can't seem to recollect name wise.
